About us
Bayeux Cycling
Team was formed in 1994 with the aim of moving away from the
‘traditional’ club set up.
We run ourselves with as little
bureaucracy as possible – there are no tedious committee
meetings so we can all focus on what we love best: cycling!

Since formation
we’ve maintained a steady membership of between 25 and 30
riders.
While we’re always on the
look-out for new blood we don’t intend to grow too big; part of
the Bayeux
philosophy is that the team is also a group of friends who race
together, train together and – when possible – socialise
together.
The distinctive
black-and-white Bayeux
team jerseys can be seen at all the big events in the local
cycling calendar, including the Lewes Crits and the two
Surrey
Cycle Racing League
events we organise every year.
Team members can also escape
the winter weather at our early-season training camp in
Majorca.
While the team’s main focus is road and
circuit racing, members additionally compete in time trials,
mountain biking, cyclo-cross, track meets and various sportive
events throughout the year.
Our regular
training rides take place on Sunday mornings.
Riders leave in groups from
locations including Burgess Hill and Hastings, with a meeting
point at
Badgers
Tea House in Alfriston
around 10.45am.
If you would like to join us on
one of these rides you would be more than welcome – to get more
details simply drop us a line using the online form in our
Contact section.
